2025 marks the 22nd anniversary of the Shaw Prize. Four distinguished laureates received the Shaw Prize this year and they will be honoured at the Award Presentation Ceremony on 21 October 2025, at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai, Hong Kong. The ceremony will be officiated by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Honourable John KC Lee.

Shaw Laureate Space Theatre Lecture: The Big Bang Afterglow
The Hong Kong Space Museum and The Shaw Prize Foundation are pleased to present the “Shaw Laureate Space Theatre Lecture: The Big Bang Afterglow”. The lecture aims to enhance astronomy education, and inspire high school physics students through the personal experiences of esteemed astronomers. It will be presented by Professor John Richard Bond and Professor George Efstathiou, the 2025 Shaw Laureates in Astronomy. The moderator will be Professor Chu Ming-chung, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Physics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
