As May begins, we eagerly anticipate the announcement of the Shaw Laureates 2023. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Shaw Prize, which recognizes outstanding achievements in the fields of Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, and Mathematical Sciences.

We are pleased to announce that the Announcement Press Conference of the Shaw Prize 2023 will be held on Tuesday, 30 May 2023 at 15:00 HKT (GMT 07:00) at Ballroom, Shaw Studios, Hong Kong. The Press Conference will be held in-person, marking a return to our traditional format after last year’s event being held entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The nomination for The Shaw Prize 2023 began in early September 2022 and ended on 30 November 2022 via electronic filing. Members of the Selection Committees for the three prize categories screened the nominations, and presented a final proposal for The Shaw Prize Council’s consideration.
