Biographical Note of Professor Xiaodong WANG
Professor Xiaodong Wang was born in Wuhan, China in 1963. He received his B.S. in Biology from Beijing Normal University in July, 1984 and his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in May, 1991.

Prof Wang has served as the Director and Investigator of the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing, since 2010. Previously, he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator from 1997 to 2010 and held the position of the George L. MacGregor Distinguished Chair Professor in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas from 2001 to 2010. He has been a member of the National Academy of Science, USA since 2004 and a foreign associate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2013.
